Nigerian Singer and Songwriter, Tems, has become the first female artist in Nigeria to hit five (5) million monthly listeners on Spotify.
The only artistes with five (5) million monthly listeners or more on Spotify in Nigeria are Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Mr. Eazi.
Many people have attributed this milestone to her collaboration with Wizkid on the ‘Essence’ hit song. Some people believe it is valid because most people outside Nigeria got to know of her after the song came out.
