Five suspected kidnappers burnt to death along the Afuze-Uokha Road in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State by y locals along the Afuze-Uokha Road in Owan West local government area of Edo State.
It was gathered brave vigilance members apprehended the kidnappers after they seized some travellers who they moved to their den in the forest.
The suspects were said to have attacked and abducted some travellers who they took into the bush. but they ran out of luck as they were arrested by vigilantes who brought them out of the forest.
After the abducted victims were released, the vigilance members brought the kidnappers to the road to Uokha community initially to hand them over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The locals, on sighting the kidnappers, snatched them from the vigilantes and burnt them to death.
Edo Police spokesman Kontongs Bello, a Superintendent of Police (SP), confirmed the incident, saying that investigation was ongoing.
