The local health unit has begun pop-up vaccination clinics in COVID-19 hot spots. Here, a local individual receives one of the first local COVID-19 vaccines at the St. Clair College SportsPlex on Dec. 22, 2020.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has announced locations on Monday for walk-in pop-up vaccination clinics for neighbourhood residents who live in two of the city’s COVID-19 hot spot areas.
Those who live or work in the N9A or N9C postal code areas are eligible to receive a vaccine if they are 18 years of age or older.
The two locations are on Via Italia at St. Angela Hall, 750 Erie St. E., and on the west side at Mackenzie Hall, 3277 Sandwich St. W.
The two clinics were scheduled to open at 9 a.m. and remain open until 4 p.m. or until the vaccines run out.
Those attending the clinic must wear a mask. They are also asked to bring proof of residence or workplace in those postal code areas, including a health card, driver’s license, passport, work identification or pay stub.
No appointment is required at the clinics as they will be walk-up only for those who live or work in the hot spot postal code areas.
