The Lagos State Chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has decided to resume operations partially.
This according to the association is to allow for clearance of backlogs, reading of Judgement, and decongestion of prison occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic and the #EndSARS protest.
Chairman of JUSUN Lagos, Shobowale Kehinde, who made the announcement in a statement on Thursday said work and official duties are constrained to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of every week.
He added that Monday and Tuesday of every week remain ‘Strike Days’ and all staff members must stay off duty to observe the strike.
Meanwhile, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebun Olu Adegboruwa, has faulted the decision of the Lagos JUSUN to relax its strike rules to allow partial work.
Adegboruwa in a statement sent to Channels Television said the situation is ‘totally unacceptable
